Long Island Photo Gallery - Photos of Long Island
Carole Amodeo

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER:

I want my art to speak to people like the magnetism of each of my subjects spoke to me. I don't have formal training in photography or digital technology - all of my work is taken using simple "point and shoot" digital cameras. And the simplicity of the process is a defining element of my work. It is important to know, I have never lost the childhood wonder of the beauty in small things in life.Though I am now starting to experiment a little with digital enhancement and other photographic techniques, the attraction between me and my subjects in every image I capture is what remains paramount.Vibrant colors will always stir my soul.I began my career in photography in 1999 and have had countless gallery exhibits (8 scheduled for this year going into 2016) in various galleries on Long Island and Nassau County. Currently showing in Studio5404, Massapequa and Artspace Gallery, Patchogue NY. I am proud to say my first One Woman Show May 2014 at the Baffa Gallery in Sayville broke all records (since the gallery opened 44 years ago) for sales tallying up 16 of them before the show ended. I am a member of the Women Sharing Art Group, the South Bay Arts Council and the Patchogue Arts Council. I have only just begun . . .
